On the occasion of World Environment Day, the City Council of León has launched the “Súmate al Medio Ambiente y Punto” campaign, an initiative developed in collaboration with Fundación ECOTIC and Ambilamp Foundation to promote the proper collection and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).
Until June 15, environmental educators will inform citizens about the importance of depositing these waste items at designated collection points, as well as the environmental benefits of their proper management.
In 2025, the citizens of León recycled more than 311 tonnes of WEEE, an average of 2.5 kg per inhabitant.
At ECOTIC, we continue working alongside public administrations and organizations to bring electronic waste recycling closer to citizens and advance towards a more circular economy.
